Consider it to be like a small town newspaper online. It’s got that feel, except your “letter to the editor,” aka comment, gets published almost immediately. The Women’s Outdoor News, aka The WON, delivers news, reviews and stories about women in the outdoors. Born out of a desire to serve the burgeoning outdoor market for women and to inspire as many women to go outside as possible, The WON pops into email inboxes, RSS feeds and Twitter/Facebook Feeds with updates during the work week. We’re not building customers; we’re building community.  Follow them on Twitter and Facebook below:

Thanks for the spotlight. We encourage men and women to visit our weblog at The Women's Outdoor News, to comment and contribute and to keep the focus on what's being done for and about women in the outdoors — whether it's the traditions of shooting, hunting, archery, fishing or the fun stuff — kayaking, climbing, etc.! Thanks, again. ~Barbara Baird, aka Babbs in the Woods

The WON is a great place for women who are new to the outdoors, too. You don't have to be a seasoned outdoorswoman to find great content, helpful tips, gear reviews and resources to help you learn more about your favorite outdoor activities and meet other women who share your interests.
