Website Showcase: Thejump.net

Welcome to TheJump.Net! TheJump.Net started off as simply a bunch of my favorite hunting and fishing links. Then it just seemed to take on a life of-its-own and just grow! The name “TheJump” seemed appropriate because the page was a jumping off place for hunting and fishing on the internet!

I got the idea for the name “The Jump” from a magical place in Louisiana down towards the mouth of the Mississippi River that goes by the same name! If you aren’t from Louisiana you probably haven’t heard of “The Jump” by Venice, Louisiana. The Jump is a place where the Mississippi river starts its distributaries or branching into smaller waterways that eventually empty into the Gulf of Mexico. THE JUMP is at the head of one of those waterways. When you reach this magical place you have many hunting and fishing opportunities at your fingertips.

The Jump provides deer hunting, world-class duck hunting, rabbit hunting and every type of fishing imaginable from freshwater fishing for bass, crappie, catfish, and striped bass to inshore saltwater fishing for flounder, speckled trout and redfish to some of the offshore and blue water fishing for Marlin, Tuna, Red Snapper, and Grouper can be had here! That’s what makes this hunting and fishing spot so unique and deserving of a name where usually no name would be given. The Jump is truly a magical place.
