Huntingnet.com
Saturday, June 20, 2009 12:19Huntingnet.com is a hunter’s portal that provides hunting news articles, reviews, outfitters, and hunter interaction. By far, the best aspect of the site is the forum. Hundreds of thousands of hunters participate and stay active in the forum. The site was founded by Todd Graf in 1995.
The site is very busy as noted on the homepage. It’s confusing to navigate as the site tries to throw everything at you at once. With a better user iterface and some organization, the site could be of much more use. The RSS is sprinkled throughout the site (not effective in my mind), blogs are usually busy during the hunting seasons, and the site is over-run with advertisements.
Huntingnet.com is a web powerhouse for hunting sites in that it is getting about 100k unique visitors according to compete.com. There is not much social interaction of the site, especially with no interaction with Twitter, Facebook, etc. To truely separate themselves from other hunting web sites, I would love to see more social media interaction and not confine user interaction to the site alone.

I'll be subscribing to your blog and I hope you post again soon!
